Beatles fans told to ‘get back’ at Manchester Airport

They may have had a 'ticket to ride' - but two 'Beatles fans' from Bolivia were told to 'get back' when they tried to enter the UK via Manchester Airport, the Evening News reports.
The two women had presented themselves separately, claiming they had travelled alone. But they had taken identical flight routings - and their tickets had even been issued by the same travel agent. During an interview one claimed to be a big fan of the Fab Four and said her parents had arranged the trip for her. But when questioned she was unable to name any of the Beatles' hits.
Despite their lack of 60s pop knowledge the pair were both able to name the Museum of Science and Industry as somewhere they were going to visit. But officials were not convinced and the women were sent back to Bolivia.
In another incident at the airport a Malaysian man dressed in a United shirt was denied entry after claiming he had come to watch his heroes. After getting off to a good start with Wayne Rooney he then came a cropper after naming international stars who had never played for the Reds - including Diego Maradona.
