Virgin and BA help Silverjet passengers
30.05.08
After Luton Airport Silverjet has grounded its flights today, Virgin Atlantic and British Airways are offering special fares to its stranded passengers. Those due to fly on the New York and Dubai routes, and holding proof of a purchased ticket, can receive special rates.
Virgin is offering Silverjet ticket holders an Upper Class rate of £759 one-way to Dubai and £899 to New York. These can be booked via Virgin Atlantic’s contact centre or at its ticket desk at Heathrow Terminal 3. Fares are also available in Premium Economy (New York £399, Dubai £389 one way) and Economy (New York £189, Dubai £179 one way) for both routes.
BA’s partner agents and travel management companies with Silverjet clients can re-book these customers onto BA’s premium leisure fares (D, R or I class), and the airline will waive the advance purchase and minimum Saturday night stay rules to enable customers to travel as per their original plans.
