Two million airport passengers for easyBus
26.08.09
Airport transfers operator easyBus has carried its two millionth passenger. The London based company, which operates a low-cost express transfer services between central London and Stansted, Luton and Gatwick airports, has reached this milestone by achieving 25% growth over the previous year. More than half of its customers have used the service for the first time this year.
The growth has been driven by consumers trading down in the current recession from higher-priced rail companies, who typically charge over £16 one way, compared to easyBus' starting price of £2. easyBus CEO, Jonathan Crick, said, ‘Both UK and EU travellers are used to shopping around for cheap flights to Gatwick, Stansted and London Luton and are not happy to blow their savings on an expensive train ticket or taxi fare.’
