easyJet tell Expedia: stop selling our flights
26.06.08
easyJet has warned online travel giant Expedia to stop selling its flights via its website or face legal action. An easyJet spokesman told The Register yesterday that it has ‘no business relationship whatsoever’ with expedia.co.uk. Despite this, the firm continues to sell easyJet flights at higher prices to customers who do not realise that a ‘middle-man’ is taking a big cut of their flight costs.
The spokesman said: ‘We have written to Expedia and asked them to stop selling flights. They are currently doing so without our express permission.' She added that ‘legal action could follow’ if Expedia doesn't heed the airline's warnings.
