easyJet quick to capitalise on BA strike threat
23.02.10
easyJet has announced an offer for British Airways passengers after cabin crew voted to take industrial action yesterday. The budget airline, which reported a surge in bookings when an aborted BA strike was announced late last year, has offered BA Executive Gold card holders free speedy boarding plus (priority check-in and boarding) on any days that BA crew strike.
Paul Simmons, easyJet UK general manager, said: ‘We believe our award winning service and amazingly low-fares will attract even more BA passengers. This is a golden opportunity for BA's Executive Club card holders to try our Speedy Boarding product - after which, they will never look back.’
Passengers wishing to take up the free offer on strike days will merely need to present their Gold card to the check-in agent at the airport.
