Snow hits Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton flights

Passengers flying from London airports faced delays today after Gatwick Airport's runway shut, Luton suspended flights and BA cancelled all European and UK domestic flights leaving Heathrow after 19:00.
For the third day running, there were no Channel Tunnel high-speed Eurostar trains operating, but the company will resume a restricted service tomorrow. Passengers hoping to escape the UK by plane faced problems early in the morning and then again in the evening, and Luton Airport based budget airline easyJet warned customers that further snow could result in continued flight disruptions.
