easyJet swap Paris airports
16.10.09
Passengers flying to and from Paris with easyJet have been warned to check before they travel as a number of flights have been moved from Orly to Charles de Gaulle airport, whilst others cancelled.
Ground handlers at Orly’s south terminal have been on strike for six days, severely affecting flights operated by easyJet from the airport. A number of its flights have been cancelled today, with a list of all the affected services on its website.
In addition, some services are departing from Charles de Gaulle with a free bus shuttle in operation between the two Paris airports. The flights are running from terminal three, except those heading to Switzerland which depart from terminal two.
Staff at Servisair are protesting after the company lost the contract to provide the check-in and refuelling service at Orly’s south terminal to a competitor. They want all the 430 jobs at the airport to be transferred to the new company taking over the contract at the beginning of November.
