easyJet amongst worst hit by Paris airport strike

Passengers flying from Orly airport in Paris face delays and cancellations today as a strike by service staff enters its third day, with UK budget airline easyJet among the worst-hit airlines. It has had to cancel almost all of its flights from the airport and has urged its passengers to use other airlines or train services where possible.
Staff at Servisair are protesting after they lost the contract to provide the check-in and refuelling service at Orly’s south terminal to a competitor. They want all the 430 jobs at the airport to be transferred to the new company taking over the contract at the beginning of November.
In addition to its flights to the UK, easyJet's cancelled flights include destinations such as Rome, Athens, Nice, Berlin, Geneva, Milan, Toulouse and Budapest. The budget says passengers should check before they head to the airport. The customer services number in France is 08 26 10 33 20, charged at €0.15 a minute from a land line.
