Luton Airport launch £3 security ‘priority lane’

Luton Airport travellers are being charged £3 to avoid long queues for security checks. They can buy a ‘priority lane’ ticket to get through the airport faster, but critics say it is part of a worrying trend towards a two-tier service.
Tickets for the premium security lanes went on sale from vending machines last week. The Air Transport Users Council, Britain's air passenger watchdog, said: ‘The danger is that airports will start charging for everything.’
