Court orders easyJet to pay for flight delay
10.07.08
easyJet has been ordered by a court to refund a passenger after it failed to give him a meal voucher when his flight was delayed, the Daily Mail reports. Michael Duncan has won back the £117.76 cost of the flight from the budget airline after a two-year battle following a 2½ hour delay to his flight from Nice to Luton.
Mr Duncan sued under air passenger rules which state that anyone stuck for more than two hours is entitled to assistance from an airline. easyJet's own policy states that if it fails to stand by these rules passengers can claim a refund. The budget airline has offered to send him a cheque.
