ArabJet reported to be Silverjet airline bidder
10.06.08
ArabJet, a Dubai-based aviation company that plans to start operations in 2009, has offered to buy failed Luton Airport based all business airline Silverjet for an undisclosed sum, Emirates Business 24/7 reports.
The Dubai base airline itself has been planning to launch all business class flights since the first quarter of 2006, but ‘investment market failure’ had forced it to postpone its plan, the newspaper reports.
ArabJet now said to be seeking clarification from Silverjet's administrator, Begbies Traynor, regarding potential legal and financial liabilities, according to the Dubai-based newspaper, which does not detail the source for the story. The Administrators had already said that they have been approached by an airline.
