Monarch to publish tax inclusive fares
09.10.10
The Luton Airport based holiday airline Monarch is to advertise its fares inclusive of tax in a bid to ‘restore trust’ in airline pricing. Managing director Tim Jeans said fares on the airline's website at all stages of the booking process and those quoted at its call centres will now include taxes.
He said: ‘The UK travelling public are savvy travellers and are rightly cynical about the low fares they see advertised on airline websites, knowing that the final price will be much higher once taxes and charges are included. Tax-inclusive fares will be quoted from November and will include all charges such as airport taxes and Air Passenger Duty.'
