Luton Airport launch £2m six month access project
08.10.08
Luton Airport will shortly commence a major enhancement project to its Central Terminal Area (CTA). This will include improvements to the bus set down area, the main terminal roundabout, drop off zone facilities and the airport's short term car park.
An airport spokesman said that the works, in conjunction with the opening of the East Luton Corridor, will deliver a significant improvement to the passenger journey for both arriving and departing passengers, as well as improving functionality for the wider airport community.
Improvement works will begin this month and are scheduled to last until Easter 2009. During this time the airport will endeavour to minimise disruption to traffic although it is possible that some localised congestion will be experienced during certain phases of the project. Passengers are advised to allow additional time when travelling to the airport and to check for updates via the airport website (click on the link above).
