Amadeus add easyJet functionality

Amadeus has announced it is to extend the functions available to travel management companies accessing easyJet through the GDS. The company's UK and Ireland managing director, Stephane Durand, said accessing easyJet through Amadeus would now offer ‘better functionality than through the easyJet [consumer] website’.
The changes – to be rolled out this month– mean that agents will be able to change itineraries, names, synchronise passenger name records and book Speedy Boarding. Mr Durand said: ‘TMCs have announced very publicly that the £7.50 surcharge to access the content is too high. By bringing more value to the process, we will convince TMCs to use the GDS more.’
