easyJet passengers up; load factor down

easyJet carried 5.54 million passengers in August, a 6.5 percent increase on last year. The budget airline saw a decrease in its load factor, which was down 0.1 percent points to 92.2 percent.
In the year to the end of August the airline carried 54.1 million passengers, up 11.8 percent on the previous 12 months (however, the previous 12 months were effected by the volcanic ash crisis, making comparisons difficult). Its average load factor was up 0.3 percentage points to 87.2 percent.
