easyJet passengers up 7.3%

easyJet carried 7.3% more passengers in December than a year earlier. The budget airline said passenger numbers rose to 3,111,388, from 2,899,349, with its load factor up a massive 3.3 percentage points from 78.9% to 82.3%.
In the rolling 12 months ending December 2008 easyJet carried 44,583,476 passengers, up 16.6% on the previous 12 months (although this year included the benefit of buying GB Airways, which was not included in the comparative). Its average load factor was 84.6%, up 1.2 percentage points.
