easyJet passengers up 7.7%

Low-cost airline easyJet said today that it carried 5.02 million passengers in July, a rise of 7.7 percent on the same month last year. Its load factor, a measure of passengers to available seats, rose to 90.9% from 90.3%.
In the rolling 12 months to the end of July the airline carried just under 48 million passengers, with an average load factor up 1.5 percentage points to 86.8%.
