easyJet ‘looking for a new Chairman’

Luton Airport based budget airlline easyJet is looking for a chairman, according to a report in the Financial Times. The newspaper says that Colin Chandler is expected to annouce the week at the airline's shareholders meeting that he plans to retire in the autumn.
The easyJet board, is in dispute over future strategy with Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the airline’s founder and former chairman. Sir Stelios is arguing it should not expand the fleet as rapidly in the current economic climate and should instead use the funds to make dividend payments.
