BA axe London City – Warsaw flights
24.12.08
British Airways is to cancel services between London City Airport and Warsaw from 6 January because of the failure of charter company Flightline. Southend Airport based Flightline, which went into administration on December 3, operated a number of services on behalf of BA Cityflyer from the Docklands airport.
BA said in a statement: ‘Due to the demise of Flightline, BA CityFlyer will revise its operation to ensure services previously operated by Flightline on its behalf will be operated directly by BA CityFlyer for the remainder of the winter 2009 schedule.'
‘BA CityFlyer will reduce the flying programme on certain low demand routes and notification to those passengers affected is being made through normal channels. As a result of this CityFlyer will be suspending the London City - Warsaw service from the 6 January 2009 for the rest of the winter season.’
