Council to consider London City Airport planning application today

24.01.07

Newham Council are set to consider an application by London City Airport to increase its daily number of flights today. Although it seeking to increase its potential flight numbers per day, the airport has no plans to increase the amount of weekend flights or to change the daily hours of operation.

The airport has asked the council's Development Control Committee to allow it to make an amendment to the daily distribution of its permitted flight traffic, within the existing allowed annual maximum of 73,000 flights. This would mean more flights during weekdays.
