Aer Arann use bigger plane on IOM – London City flights
19.02.09
The first flight of Aer Arann's new route between the Isle of Man and London City Airport took off using a bigger plane on Tuesday. A new 72-seater plane will operate the route three times daily, Monday to Friday, once on a Saturday and twice on Sundays. The route started on January 19 using a smaller 50-seater plane.
The Dublin-based company's technical director John Halpin said they were hoping to be able to add an earlier weekday flight to London City in the future. He said: 'We would like a flight possibly leaving at about 08:00 but the problem is getting a slot at the airport. Negotiations are taking place at the moment and we hope to have some news in the next two weeks.'
