British Airways is launching a new advertising campaign to promote its services from London City Airport. After a quiet period when the airline concentrated on service and cost issues, the airline has been busy with its advertising recently. In addition to the major 'upgrade to BA' advertising push, it also recently launched a comedy viral ad.
The London City ad aims to remind flyers it operates from the hub as well as from its main base at Heathrow. The campaign features iconic images of London including Tower Bridge and Westminster to highlight the proximity of the airport to the Square Mile, Canary Wharf and London. Created by BJL, it targets business travellers, and includes press and outdoor elements using the strap line: 'Fly direct from London City'.
BA flies from London City to to Edinburgh, Zurich, Madrid, Frankfurt, Milan and Glasgow.
