Profits up 50% at London City Airport
17.10.08
London City Airport's after-tax profits were up by 50% to £15m last year as turnover increased by 30% to a record £58.5m. Passenger numbers also grew by a quarter - to 2.9m - in 2007.
Looking ahead to this year, the airport indicated that corporate jet movements are expected to fall from 15,000 to 14,500 this year. However, the decline should be more than offset by the increased number of flights, as passenger traffic is forecast to rise to 3.2m.
