CityJet, the Dublin based subsidiary of Air France-KLM, has carried the 25,000th passenger on its flights from London City Airport to Nantes. The milestone was passed when CityJet welcomed Paul Minton at London City Airport, presenting him with two complimentary tickets for flights on its network.
Launched in April last year, the service to Nantes in the Brittany region of France has seen a steady increase in passengers over the past ten months. CityJet's twice-daily flights have been popular among business and leisure travellers.
Geoffrey O'Byrne White, chief executive of the Air France-KLM subsidiary, said: ‘We are really pleased to have reached our 12-month target of 25,000 passengers on the Nantes route in just ten months. To have done so in such tough trading conditions is a testament to the tenacity of everyone on the CityJet team who has helped make this a success.’
