London City Airport passengers hit by weight ‘debacle’

An Air France CityJet flight scheduled to depart from London City Airport on Thursday afternoon was delayed by 30 minutes when an unfortunate group of passengers were told they were being transferred to a later flight, the Courier reports. The pilot later described the incident as a 'debacle'.
A Cityjet spokesman confirmed the incident and said that the four passengers travelling on the flight to Dundee were chosen because they were the last to check in. He said: 'the decision was made by the captain because of the weather conditions and the weight of the aircraft,’ adding that each had received compensation for the inconvenience caused.
One passenger who travelled on the delayed flight said that after landing the pilot apologised for the ‘debacle’ and said he would be submitting a report to CityJet.
