BA add flights to Glasgow and Edinburgh from London City Airport
14.04.11
Capacity on flights between London City Airport and Scotland is to rise by almost a quarter from next month. BA CityFlyer will add an extra daily service to both Edinburgh and Glasgow to cope with increasing demand. The airline will operate a fifth return service to Glasgow and an eighth return route to Edinburgh. The new services will take off on May 2, and will boost capacity by more than 23 percent.
A spokesman for the airline said: ‘London City Airport’s location, at the heart of London’s financial district, makes it ideal for commuting between the Docklands and Scotland’s two major cities, both of which have a strong financial services sector. And leisure passengers are also becoming increasingly aware of just how convenient London City Airport is for the centre of London.’
