London City Airport changes for Air France / KLM
12.12.08
Air France / KLM is rationalising its flights operations from London City Airport from early next month. Flights operated by VLM and KLM Cityhopper between London City and Amsterdam will be operated by Air France regional arm CityJet from January 5. CityJet will use a 95-seat AVRO RJ-85 offering eight flights a day on weekdays, one on Saturdays and four on Sundays.
In addition new subsidiary VLM will run the group's eight daily return flights from London City to Rotterdam. It is also replacing CityJet on a London City to Eindhoven route and will operate two daily flights from January 12.
The flights to Amsterdam and to Rotterdam will be operated as a VLM / KLM code share and will continue to be sold through the VLM and KLM website and sales channels. The changes are part of an ‘optimisation’ of services, according to a statement from Air France / KLM.
