Drug smuggler charged after London City Airport find

A Scottish woman has been charged with attempting to smuggle around £40,000 worth of cocaine into the UK after being stopped at London City Airport on Sunday. Catherine Gibson, 57, from Fife, was arrested after she arrived on a flight from Amsterdam, having flown to Holland from Argentina.
The drugs were discovered in wrapped packages inside a suitcase. Approximately a kilo of cocaine was found. Ms Gibson was charged with attempting to import a class A substance, and was remanded in custody at Crawley Magistrates yesterday.
