Swiss to launch London City - Bucharest link

Swiss International Airlines is to begin three weekly flights between London City Airport and Bucharest (via Geneva) next year. The services will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from April next year using an Airbus A319.
Harry Hohmeister, the airline's chief network officer, said that the new route is part of an ongoing development of Geneva as one of its major bases. He said: 'Our new service to Bucharest is a sign of our commitment to Geneva as one of our three national airports. And we firmly intend to continue with our current Geneva expansion.'
