Lufthansa launch personal assistant service at Heathrow and London City
10.03.08
Lufthansa is to introduce a personal assistant service for its first-class passengers and Hon Circle members at Heathrow and London City Airport. The service will see these top flyers escorted from the check-in desk, passing all queues, to the Lufthansa lounge. In addition, passengers arriving at the airports will be met at the aircraft door, and escorted through passport control and customs.
The airline made the decision to launch the dedicated service after a successful three-month trial. Marianne Sammann, Lufthansa’s general manager in the UK, said: ‘The service offers a new and exclusive benefit for our best and most loyal customers, and strengthens our position in the premium segment.'
‘London has the highest share of Lufthansa’s UK-based top frequent fliers and Heathrow ranks sixth in our worldwide rankings for Hon Circle membership.’ Hon Circle membership – the highest Lufthansa frequent flier status – is achieved by collecting 600,000 air miles within two consecutive calendar years.
