BA increase summer sun flights from London City Airport
06.03.11
London City Airport is to benefit from new flights from British Airways to summer sun destinations this summer. The airline will be increasing flight frequencies and adding new services for the summer season, offering even more opportunities for city dwellers to escape to the sun. Two extra aircraft will be added to the airline's fleet at the Docklands hub to operate the increased services.
A total of 39 flights to be offered each week, including two new routes to Faro and Malaga taking off in June, with increases in the number of flights to Nice, Ibiza, and Palma. A spokesman for BA said: ‘We first launched leisure only flights from London City last year as a direct response to demand from our customers. They proved so popular, particularly during the summer months, that we have decided to expand them further this year.'
