London City Airport a ‘superbrand’

London City Airport was the only airport to be ranked among the UK's top 500 brands by business leaders and professionals. The hub received the accolade in recognition of its success in establishing a strong reputation and making an impact on the UK business sector.
The airport's chief executive, Richard Gooding, said it was a sign of its popularity with business travellers, highlighting the airports ‘exciting’ growth over the last two decades. He said: ‘More and more business travellers are recognising the benefits of London City Airport as it is located on the doorstep of the City and Canary Wharf.'
London City was placed at 415 in the Business Superbrand ranking, with other names from the world of aviation to feature in the list including British Airways (ranked 8), Virgin Atlantic (28), Emirates (115) and easyJet (180).
