Fog causes delays and cancellations at London City Airport
04.10.07
London City Airport, which is situated right next to the Thames river, suffered flight delays and cancellations due to fog yesterday. About 20 planes were delayed and four incoming aircraft were diverted to other London airports. Operations were restored by 11:00 and the backlog was quickly cleared.
The airport, which is close to docklands and has a direct link to London's financial district, is primarily used by business travellers flying with airlines including Lufthansa, BA, SAS, Austrian Airlines, VLM and Air France CityJet.
