Liverpool Airport passengers up 17% in July

Liverpool Airport is expecting its busiest ever Bank Holiday weekend this August, after passengers grew by 17 percent in July. This weekend is forecast to break all records for the number of passengers travelling through the terminal.
A record 77,000 passengers are expected to travel via Liverpool Airport. This will be a 15% increase compared to the same period last year, when 67,069 passengers travelled during Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The airport has continually broken passenger figures in 2007 and the summer getaway got off to a flying start with July figures up 12% compared to July 2006.
