New Polish route for Liverpool Airport
26.02.10
Ryanair has announced that it will launch a new twice-weekly route between Liverpool Airport and Szczecin, in north west Poland. The flights will start from May 21 and operate on Mondays and Fridays, with one way fares from £19.99, including taxes.
This latest route will be Ryanair’s 47th from Liverpool. Szczecin is the seventh largest city in Poland and the largest sea port on the Baltic Sea. Nearby forests and lakes make it a popular destination for water sports, hiking and bird watching.
The budget airline estimates it will generate 30,000 passengers a year on a 50-50 split of inbound and outbound, which should generate up to £6.4m for the Liverpool tourist economy.
