New rescue boat for Liverpool Airport
18.07.08
A new rescue boat designed specifically to deal with an aircraft falling short of Liverpool Airport has been launched, the Post reports.
The new boat is based at the all new Merseyside Fire and Rescue International Water Skills Centre, at Merseysport. It is a centre of excellence for water rescue skills for all emergency service workers and community groups could also get training.
The new additions will help meet the demands placed on the service. It was designed and built by Liverpool-based MST. It is 10.5m long and jet-driven, with the ability to be used in all weathers.
