13.04.11
Peel Airports Limited, which owns Liverpool Airport, Robin Hood Airport and Durham Tees Valley Airport, has launched its new ‘Altitude’ airport parking pre-booking and pricing system on its airport websites to maximise revenue from its 14,000 parking spaces The company has worked with Inventive IT to develop a simple, more effective booking system for its passengers, that also allows it to be more creative with pricing and promotions.
The new Altitude pre-booking system went live in late March. Peel Airports Head of Car Parks Sammy Patel said: ‘It has significantly enhanced our ability to control pricing and manage consolidator distribution. We are now able to easily and clearly differentiate our products online, and ensure conversion remains high through the use of a three-step booking process.'
‘Within the first week we saw a significant increase in average transaction value by up-selling and cross-selling airport parking products, in addition to significantly high conversion rates from search to transaction completion. Importantly, we are now able to yield pricing appropriate to demand.'
