Liverpool Airport delays after heavy fog

Flights in and out of Liverpool Airport were disrupted yesterday due to thick fog. A number flights were cancelled, delayed or diverted to other airports.
The disruption hit both arrivals and departures, with passengers advised to check with their airlines before heading for the airport throughout the day. Drivers heading to and from the airport were also being advised to take extra care on the M62 and the Runcorn Widnes bridge, where fog is lingering.
