Conditional discharge for Liverpool Airport runway intruder

A man who broke through security and got onto the runway and then onto a plane at Liverpool Airport over the weekend has been conditionally discharged for two years by magistrates.
As previously reported Waldemar Rejowski, 47, of no fixed abode, was charged under the Aviation Security Act, for breaching security and boarding the Thomsonfly plane that was about to take off for Spain on Saturday morning.
He was arrested on the plane at 06:00 on Saturday after breaking through a security gate at an airfield control point barriers. An internal investigation into the security breach is currently underway at the airport to establish what went wrong.
