Leeds Bradford Airport acquisition was 'deal of the year'

Bridgepoint's £145.5m acquisition of Leeds Bradford Airport has been named Deal of the Year at the Insider Dealmakers Awards 2007. The ceremony, held at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, is one of the biggest events in the Yorkshire corporate calendar and aims to reward those who have worked the hardest on major deals in the region.
Bridgepoint beat off strong competition to win the award, including from Keepmoat's £783m Management Buyout - the largest MBO ever completed in Yorkshire, as well as the secondary buyout at Jemella and Endless' exit from Peter Black.
