Jet2 announce eight new routes from Leeds Bradford

Jet2 has announced its single biggest route expansion for next summer. It will launch eight new routes from Leeds Bradford Airport next May.
The new routes include Lübeck in Germany, close to Hamburg, the Spanish capital Madrid, the Italian island of Sardinia, Paphos in Cyprus, the Greek island of Crete, plus Avignon and La Rochelle in France, and Jersey.
Fares on the routes start at £19.99 to Lübeck, with the France, Spain, Italy and UK routes from £28.99 to £33.99, and Greece and Cyprus flights costing £48.99 and £58.99 respectively (all one way flights including taxes).
Philip Meeson, head of Jet2, said: 'Our unprecedented route expansion today includes top sunshine destinations in two countries we've never served before - Paphos in Cyprus and Heraklion in the Greek island of Crete. From next summer we will offer direct flights to 36 destinations across Europe from Leeds Bradford.'
Jet2 has also announced it will be upgrading its services to Geneva and Lanzarote from Leeds Bradford to be year-round, as well as increasing the frequency of flights to Paris to twice a day, Belfast three times a day and Toulouse to twice weekly.
The airline set a target to fly 3.5 million passengers from the Yorkshire airport by 2010 - one million more than the current annual total of all flights from Leeds Bradford.
The new route launch dates and frequencies are as follows:
1. Hamburg (Lübeck): starts 1 May, four times per week
2. Madrid: starts 2 May, four times per week
3. Jersey: starts 24 May, three times per week
4. La Rochelle: starts 24 May, once a week
5. Avignon: starts 22 May, three times per week
6. Sardinia (Olbia): starts 3 May, once a week
7. Crete (Heraklion): starts 20 May, once a week
8. Cyprus (Paphos): starts 4 May, twice a week
