Jet2 launches major recruitment drive
10.09.07
Jet2, the budget airline that launched flights from Leeds Bradford Airport just over four years ago, is creating 200 new jobs. Celebrating the appointment of its 1,500th employee last week, the airline is planning a series of city centre employment road shows to fill around 200 new vacancies.
The airline currently flies from Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle, Blackpool, Edinburgh, and Belfast International, and serves 39 destinations. It expects to fly more than 4 million people across Europe this year.
HR Director Claire Flynn said: 'The company has grown rapidly from day one and we're currently going through one of the biggest expansion periods in our short history - in fact, this is the single biggest recruitment drive we've ever launched. We have some major airline expansion plans that will shortly be announced, and will need to recruit to achieve them.'
The airline has launched a dedicated new website www.jobs.jet2.com to handle recruitment vacancies and job requests.
