Holiday flights take off from Kent Airport

The holiday season has got under way at Manston’s Kent International Airport. The first passenger flight of the year left for Malta last Tuesday. A range of destinations including Lake Garda, Sorrento, Croatia and Austria will be available this year.
A scheduled service from Kent to Jersey operated by Flybe also begins next month, running until September. Matt Clarke, chief executive at the airport, said: ‘Kent residents have waited a long time for the return of a scheduled service from their airport.’
