Private charter airline opens Kent Airport base
09.09.09
A private charter airline that has flown presidents, royal families and even the Manchester United football team, has made Kent International Airport its new home in the UK. Gainjet Aviation, which operates private charter planes across the globe, says it chose to base its UK operations at Manston because of the airport's size.
Sales duo Deborah Knips and Natalie Aylett, who live locally, persuaded management at the company's Athens headquarters to locate in Kent instead of Heathrow or Gatwick - both of which were short listed for the role.
