New flights take off from Kent Airport

The new season of holiday flights to the sun from Kent Airport took off yesterday. Kent Escapes, which last year operated a summer charter programme to Faro and Barcelona from the airport, has started its summer schedule with flights to Faro, Palma and Alicante.
Kent International's new general manager, Matt Clarke, says his team are geared up for the return of passengers to the airport. He said: 'It will be great to see passengers using the facilities here on a regular basis again. All the staff are looking forward to it and there has been a real buzz about the place.'
'Kent Escapes have chosen popular holiday destinations this year and we expect that, by making their programme a success, we will provide a good platform to secure year-round scheduled and charter services in the future.'
