Freight up 6% at Kent Airport

Kent International Airport handled 1,088 tonnes of freight in July, up 6% on the same month a year earlier
EgyptAir was up more than 50% against July 2007 and Cargolux also grew volume. These gains were offset by the absence of MK Airlines flights. Total year-to-date freight volume is 5% behind the equivalent period last year.
Charter flights to Gran Canaria, operated by Kent Escapes, started at the end of the month and will run throughout the busiest weeks of the school holidays.
