Flybe offer jobs to EuroManx staff
10.05.08
Flybe is offering jobs to some former staff at EuroManx, the regional busget airline has revealed. Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer at Flybe, flew to the Island on Friday after news that EuroManx had ceased trading.
Mr Rutter said: 'This gives a lesson to people not to meddle in aviation unless you've got deep pockets and a good business model. People think you need competition but you must have a stable carrier, reliability, a good business model – and lots of cash!'
Flybe is offering jobs to 10 to 15 cabin crew who would continue to be based in the Isle of Man. There will also be jobs for pilots, but vacancies will be off-Island, and there is potential for some operational staff to be offered jobs too.
