Inverness Airport reopens

Inverness Airport is operating normally today, after days of disruption due to the freezing weather. Hundreds of passengers had to alter their travel plans over the New Year when the airport was closed because conditions were not safe to operate, with 16 people spending New Year’s Eve at the hub (with champagne and pizza).
Although the airport has reopened, passengers are being advised to check with their airline before travelling. Sub-zero conditions and heavy snow had resulted in a number of flights being cancelled, and this could still affect schedules today.
