Weather closes Inverness Airport

All flights to and from Inverness Airport were cancelled on New Year's Eve and yesterday due to the freezing weather conditions, affecting hundreds of travellers. 16 passengers opted to stay in the airport terminal to bring in the new year with champagne and pizza.
A spokeswoman said the airport had been closed late Thursday and all day on Friday due to the frozen runway. Passengers have been advised to check the airport's website for further information.
