£2000 fine over Inverness Airport bomb comment
03.01.10
A man who told staff at Inverness Airport that he had a gun and joked about a bomb in his bag on New Year's Day in frustration at the continuing delays has been fined £2000.
All flights in and out of the airport had been cancelled that day due to bad weather, which caused disruption at the airport for 3 days over the period. On Friday Alper Balci, who was born and brought up in Istanbul, Turkey, was fined £2000 at Inverness Sheriff Court.
